The Chinese workers have constructed an earthen dam in length of 1.5 kilometers to protect the place of paleontologic excavation from washing away. Construction of the dam in a northeast Chinese province Heilongjiang has took more than three years. As the representative of national park
administration considers, the dam should save the place of excavation from flooding and erosion.During last years in the reserve located near the Russian-Chinese border, thousand petrescences have been found. 13 skeletons of dinosaurs have been collected from them. Paleontologists consider that in these grounds there still can be skeletons of at least 100 prehistoric reptiles.
